DORIS was funded by the Scottish
  Government's National Advisory Committee
  for Stroke.
 
DORIS is based at the NMAHP Research Unit, working in partnership with the Cochrane Stroke Group and James Lind Alliance.
 

DORIS's vision is of evidence-based stroke rehabilitation continually enhanced by high quality relevant stroke rehabilitation research addressing priority questions.
 
DORIS's mission is to facilitate access to stroke rehabilitation research evidence, research uncertainties, research gaps and research priorities, and promote collaborative and effective research planning, research activity and translation of research into practice.
 
DORIS's aims are to facilitate the establishment, specific to stroke rehabilitation, of
 
  • easy access to completed and ongoing research evidence

  • treatment uncertainties, evidence gaps and research priorities

  • a collaborative and inclusive approach to research planning and activityand to:

  • Provide DORIS's outputs within a freely-available sustainable web-database
