What data are stored

DORIS provides up-to-date information on existing evidence, ongoing and planned evidence and other research relating to treatments for stroke.

Data is identified by systematic and regular searching of journals, conference proceedings, and electronic databases by the Cochrane Stroke Group.

Each item of evidence is categorised using multiple topics and/or intervention codes.

Includes RCP 2012 Stroke Guidelines, NICE 2013 Stroke Guidelines, European Stroke Organisation (ESO) Guidelines from 2008, 2013 and 2014, Australian Clinical Guidelines for Stroke Management 2010 and the Canadian Stroke Best Practice Recommendations 2017-2020
A direct link to the correct page of the full text of each guideline is provided, as is a note of the Evidence Level or link to the relevant Evidence Table.
It is important to note that each recommendation should be considered with reference to the supporting documentation provided within the full guideline.

These are questions for which we know further research is required. The priorities have been taken from the Stroke Priority Setting Partnership project which identified the priorities of stroke survivors, carers and health professionals.
